Classes

Sprint Cars 1/10 Late Model



General rules for 1/10 Truck class
1/10 scale Truck chassis ONLY. No car chassis converted to truck.
Suspension mods allowed but must run truck arms, truck wheels and truck rubber tires. No foams.
In Production Bodies only. No homemade truck bodies. A side dam measuring from the back of the cab to the rear end of the bed and a max height of 1” above the cab is allowed. A 1/2” 45 degree bend may be included but the overall height allowed is still 1” above the cab. A 3” high rear spoiler is allowed measuring from the bed.
2 wheel drive, rear wheel drive ONLY.
Transmission – Single speed with 3 internal drive gears plus spur gear only.
Must have a 4 wheel independent suspension. No straight axles.
Wheelbase – 10” min – 12” max.
Width – 11.5” min – 13” max.
Weight – Electric 60 oz min. Nitro 64 oz min.

Electric Class Rules:
Sportsman: Motors - ROAR stamped can, 27 turn, tagged armature OR 19 turn, fixed or adjustable timing, tagged armature OR *RTR kit. * Must be the kit specific RTR motor. No swapping Brands. Or Brushless 10.5 or higher.
Battery - Lipo up to 5000mah 2 cell 7.4volt legal (must be in some type of hard case from the manufacture) Note: If you already have some cells that are not in a case, check with the race director to see if they can be used.
NiMH up to 5000mah 6 cell pack legal

Open Mod Rules: Motors - ANY Brushed or Brushless
Battery - Lipo up to 5000mah 2 cell 7.4volt legal (must be in some type of hard case from the manufacture) Note: If you already have some cells that are not in a case, check with the race director to see if they can be used.
NiMH up to 5000mah 6 cell pack legal

Nitro: Engines – Any .12 or RTR kit .15 or .18.

1/10 4WD Late Model (Back to Top)

Any 4WD single motor chassis. Chassis mods are OK.
Any production Dirt Late Model body. All wheel wells must be cutout and body must cover the top of all 4 tires. Left side dam is allowed and measuring a maximum length of 14” long by 3” high (from top of body panel to top pf edge of the dam). The leading edge of the left side dam can be moved no farther forward than 3” from the center of the front axle with the steering centered. The left side dam must have a minimum of 2 side braces attached to it and to the body.
A 2” high rear spoiler with 2” X 2 side panels, attached to the rear spoiler and to the body is allowed.
No other body attachments are allowed. Recommend McAllister, Factory Works or Bolink bodies.
Wheelbase is 11” maximum
Width is 8.5” maximum
Weight is 52 oz minimum.
Tires and wheels - can be any touring or Custom Works wheels or tires
Electric class – Motors are the same as all Sportsman class rules

OS TG .12 only, 6mm max inside diameter stinger on pipe
Production headers and pipes only, single stinger opening.

Sprint Cars (Back to Top)

Must have scale appearing cage, hood, side panels, nerf bars and bumpers. Minimum of a 4 post cage required that resembles a drivers cockpit. A driver arm guard area is permitted on right side panel bust must be of reasonable size. All electronics, radio gear, fuel tanks must be positioned inside the cage side frames. Three dimensional scale appearing exhaust headers must appear on both sides of car in “engine area” and be made of round stock or molded polycarbonate (left side of nitro sprint is optional). Rear cage side panels may be used but may not extend beyond rear cage frame. No lexan or any other material may be mounted to nerf bars, bumpers, cage, wing or any other part of the car that will trap, alter, or direct air flow for the purpose of gaining an aerodynamic advantage. Must have appropriate openings on both sides of cage in driver compartment, forward portion of side panels can be no taller than highest point of hood, no solid side panels.

Minimum vertical gap from top of hood to front cage crossbar: .750"
Wing minimum height at leading edge: 5.000" from bottom of chassis
Wings: Center section and side panels must be made from at least 3 separate pieces of polycarbonate, carbon or aluminum material. All corners and edges must be rounded and free of sharp edges. Main and Front wings must be mounted so that they are centered on cage, no offset wings. Wing center sections must have all 4 corners set at 90 degree angles, no canted or angled panels. Wings must also be mounted level from side to side. Center section of wing may not extend beyond leading or trailing edge of side panels. Side panels must have braces that hold side panel rigid at 90deg. to center section during race conditions. Two braces are required from top of the center foil to the left sideboard and one brace is permitted below the center foil to the right side board. Braces can be a maximum of .750" wide and front edge of front brace must be no more than 1.5” back from side panel leading edge. Side Panels may have front, back, top and bottom turnouts of no more than .375" and are included in max dimension. Flat foil center sections will be allowed a .250” turndown at the leading edge.

The 6x6" wing will be the standard Sprint Car wing size. Race organizers and series directors may at their discretion allow the optional 7x7" wing rule for races and series using buggy or rubber tires.

Race organizers may also choose to run wingless sprint events.


Limited and Stock sprint: No front wings allowed.

Motors: Dirt Oval .com 13.5 or Novak 13.5 or 27turn Stock motor
